Every spring and fall there is a loon rendezvous out on the lake. I’ve seen it almost every time for the past few years which is pretty lucky because they don’t stay around for much more than a half hour in the large group. In the spring it’s almost like they’re meeting up to decide who is going to which pond or lake for the summer. And in the fall I think they’re meeting up before they fly to wherever it is they go in the winter.
This spring about 15-17 of them flew in and did a little fishing and socializing.
